Amenities abound at this family-friendly club. The swimming pool, showers, lockers, barbeque areas, card room, lounge, and dining room offer non-stop use; and on the holidays an active group of club volunteers see to it there is always a themed party.
This peaceful setting at the water's edge can host up to 150
members and their friends. Many a member finds this dining
room a perfect place for business lunches; and private activities
can also be arranged.
A popular gathering place for food and drink is the convivial waterfront bar and lounge. “Blue Plate Specials” are served all day long with a special pot-luck
informal feast, organized by the members, every Tuesday evening. Games and a library are available in the adjoining card room.
Just beyond the bar is a barbecue area, used often by
members seeking a quiet covered outdoor place for a
cocktail or a club committee meeting.
The broad wharf, running the full length of the clubhouse, is the preferred place for cocktails, snacks, and watching the sky’s sunset colors and Friday night fireworks.
At the other end of the yacht club, in a sunny spot, is the
swimming pool. Lounge chairs and tables surround the
perimeter. A snack bar is located on one side, and showers and
lockers at the other. The pool area can be reserved for private
parties.
Located along the entire length of the yacht club are the new state-of-the-art dock and piers. Tables and chairs adorn the wide dock, a popular post-sail meeting place. The five finger piers can accommodate 150 boats ranging from the
club's 20-foot shuttle to a 155-foot yacht.
The yacht club makes shopping for sportswear and related
items easy. In sizes for the entire family, the Boatique offers a
full array of exclusive WYC logo clothing for on or off the boat.
Waikiki Yacht Club boasts the largest
Burgee Collection in the state. There are over 1,000 - and still counting - international burgees, suspended from every available wall space. Visiting yacht club members can find their burgee by leafing through the extensive ID/Location book, stored behind the bar.
